“May you seek your dreams and find adventure, but always know you can come home.” Before I ventured out as a 17-year-old to college to Southern Mississippi, my mom gave me a beautiful picture of a cliff in Ireland with this quote underneath it.  Since then, I have always held those words dear to my heart. As I am about to embark on another adventure, these words keep sounding in my mind.

It’s almost time.  The adventure is almost here.  10 days from now, we will be on our way to New York City.  At this point in time, most of the trip has been planned, the majority of places have been booked and transportation is about 75% figured out.  The packing lists and to-do lists are long, the school year is wrapping up and time is ticking. Leaving is always bittersweet for me.

While I am beyond excited to explore new places, meet new people, spend time with my best friend in Dubrovnik and see my Polish family and friends; I always feel a little nostalgic.  I have a difficult time leaving my friends and family and the gorgeous summertime in upstate, New York. Part of me is a homebody tangled up with the adventurous spirit of a wanderlust. However, we only live once and there is so much in this world that I want to see that the wanderlust is going to dominate this summer.

The main thing that stands in the way right now is attempting to decide if we should spend two days in Bratislava, Slovakia or Vienna, Austria.  I wish we had more time so that we could visit both cities.  If you only had two days, which of those cities would you visit?
